It’s time to be thinking about our Christmas party.
This year the Christmas party will be December 17th from 9:00-10:30, we will be in the Community Center behind the school that day. After the party, students will be able to leave as long as an adult has checked them out with their homeroom teacher. Everyone else will be given lunch and dismissed at 12:15.
Monday your child brought home a green note about our 3rd grade puzzle exchange. We asked each child to bring a wrapped 100 piece puzzle to school by Wednesday, December 15. Boys will exchange with boys and girls with girls. Dollar stores usually have a good selection of puzzles.
We will be starting our Christmas Around the World research project this week. Students will be put into groups of three or four, researching how different countries celebrate Christmas. When the research is done the final project will be added to the blog for all to see.
Here is what is expected from each group:
*Time Keeper: _______________________________ (this person watches the time and keeps everyone in the group focused, they also ask for help if needed)
*Writer:________________________________(this person writes down the information and keeps up with notes)
*Researcher:_____________________________(this person looks up information)
